SHOP ETHICS & FABRICATION

Cut out the rot. Weld in fresh 18-gauge steel.

Bondo is never a structural strategy in our Layton bays. Every vintage truck panel is hand-formed and butt-welded for absolute permanence.

THE WORKSHOP STANDARD

Real fabrication over quick cosmetic cover-ups

We shape replacement cab corners, floor pans, and bed sides by hand using English wheels, shrinker-stretchers, and planishing hammers. Every section is fitted, trimmed, and TIG welded with absolute precision to match original factory contours without hiding behind fillers.

Following metal shaping, all structural seams receive thorough rust-preventative treatment and meticulous grinding until the surface is dead flat. We document every milestone so you can verify the integrity beneath the paint before the truck ever touches primer.

Clean TIG weld beads dressed flat on a 1968 C10 stepside bed corner. Zero filler, pure structural fusion.

THE OLD IRON OATH

If it isn't real metal, it doesn't leave the bay.

Every vintage truck that passes through our doors undergoes a rigorous 100-mile local mountain shakedown run to guarantee structural and mechanical durability.
